TRAINING - RECREATIONAL Divetech has a host of experienced Instructors on staff to teach you how to dive - or to further your diving experiences, credentials and adventures. We offer courses at both of our locations - Cobalt Coast Resort & our new shore diving location at Lighthouse Point. an 'experience diving' session through Instructor level programs. As
a training center, Divetech offers a friendly, no-rush environment for
students. Most of our courses are conducted from shore for the dives,
as this allows us to take our time, not worry about boat schedules,
and we have vibrant healthy reefs right All courses include equipment, manuals, materials, registration fees, tanks and instruction. No extra costs! Training agencies that you can be certified through include PADI, NAUI, SSI, NASDS, MDEA, PDIC, CMAS, BSAC, IANTD, SDI, TDI and YMCA. e-Learning is an easy new option too! Complete your academics online from the comfort of your home, get the classroom completed and spend your vacation time in the water!
Kids diving programs are also offered year round, including the PADI Seals, SSI Rangers and Junior Open Water Certifications. The children's programs are taught by certified Instructors with additional training for emergency response and care for children. Courses run in 1/2 day sessions while you are out diving! The kids can also participate in many adventure dives such as navigation, photography, Marine ID, Coral ID and awareness, and the all time favorite - underwater scooter dives!
Open Water referral dives. The O/W Referral program is 2 half days, with 2 dives each day. We can do them mornings or afternoons (8:00am & 1:00pm) depending on your preference and our availability. As a dedicated training center, Divetech can offer you certification on your referral dives through: PADI, SSI, NASDS, NAUI, SDI, TDI, IANTD, IDEA, YMCA, and PDIC! We have professional dive instructors on staff to meet all your needs. You will need to bring your referral papers and your medical questionnaire from home, and we'll look after the rest from here. For equipment, you need a BCD, Regulator, wetsuit 2-3mm shortie or full suit recommended, mask, fins, bottom timer, snorkel, tanks and weights, and ALL of these are provided in the course. You are of course welcome to use your own equipment should you decide to buy it before you come. You'll be diving at Lighthouse Point or Cobalt Coast Dive Resort - they are gorgeous shore dive sites with many places to visit, and tons of marine life - pristine corals and sponges too. Open Water Certification. The O/W course is 3 full days from 8am until 5pm, with a lunch break in-between. We cover 5 academic modules over 2 half day sessions, 5 confined water sessions over 2 half days and your 4 ocean dives over 2 half days also. We run courses every week, based on the demand. As a dedicated training center, Divetech can offer you certification for your O/W course through PADI, SDI, TDI, IANTD or SSI. We have professional dive Instructors on staff to meet all of your needs. You will need to bring your bathing suit and towel and we'll look after the rest here! For equipment, you will need a BCD, Regulator, wetsuit (2-3mm shortie or full suit recommended), mask, fins, bottom timer, snorkel, tanks and weights, computer and all of these are provided in the course. If you have mask, fins or wetsuit that you use and like, bring them along too. Also included in the course are your student manuals and registration fees upon completion. You'll be diving at Lighthouse Point or Cobalt Coast Dive Resort - they are gorgeous dive sites with many places to visit, and tons of marine life - pristine corals and sponges too. Courses run on a daily basis to meet your vacation schedules.
